Custom Architectural
Model "Throughout history,
models have always constituted an important means of representation.
Vikings used models to elaborate their methods of boat construction
and therefore this was their first step. Ancient Romans, Greeks,
Phoenicians, Egyptians, Incas, Mayas and practically every
civilization have used scale models to represent their projects. In
modern times, most architects use them as an efficient method of
understanding and controlling the effects produced by the designed
spaces. For construction promoters, models signify an important
presentation in selling houses and any other construction that needs
to be understood visually. After 30 years of experience as architect
designer and building system expert, Barbu Hanciulesco adopted a new
approach to his professional expertise, extending to the new
dimensions of Visual-Architectural Models. "

"As architects we have the opportunity
to help make people's lives better and help create
environments that enhance their lifestyles. The work
involves a combination of abilities such as creativity,
attention to detail, and technical knowledge. It is an
amazing profession, because it encompasses a very poetic
side of life and also a very practical side. It embraces
both of these sides quite naturally. Architecture is a
very wide area and there are a lot of different fields
you can get
into."

I like the way this work ultimately
encompasses everything... With the new wave of the green,
environmentaly friendly, awareness the Architectural Design
is in front of the movement. Architects are committed in
producing buildings and spaces that strive for design
excellence. This design value can be described as a commitment
to change society for the better and create
timeless green architecture.

| Universitatea de Arhitectura si Urbanism "Ion Mincu"
Bucuresti
The first Romanian architects studied
mostly in Paris, at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts (the first DPLG was Ion
Mincu in 1883), and their enthusiastic undertaking was the true
foundation of the school. Thus, on October 15, 1892 the Romanian
Society of Architects set up a private school of architecture under
its authority.
In 1931 the School was renamed the
Academy of Architecture and was granted whole academic rights, in
relation to the regulations concerning the title of architect and
practice of the profession which followed immediately.
